Job Summary:

This is an Internal Employment Opportunity

University Information and Technology (UIT) is seeking a Digital Accessibility & Risk Analyst. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month professional faculty position.

At Oregon State University (OSU), University Information and Technology (UIT) is at the forefront of the university's technological transformation. UIT is dedicated to empowering the entire university community by providing secure access to the right data, tools, and services needed to navigate and shape their unique paths to success. By protecting OSU’s technological assets and managing resources efficiently, we enable the university to thrive in an ever-evolving landscape.

Led by the Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO), UIT manages IT operations for OSU’s three campuses, serving students in Oregon’s 36 counties and in more than 100 countries around the world. UIT's leadership philosophy centers around a human-centric and fully architected technology landscape, leveraging enterprise solutions for common good services while empowering individual colleges and business units to innovate and invest in their missions and initiatives.

UIT designs and implements a seamless, interconnected digital ecosystem that aligns to the university’s strategic goals and maximizes impact. The division is comprised of trusted partners and consultants committed to igniting innovation and fostering a culture of continuous improvement by providing expert guidance and innovative solutions that support the university’s teaching, research, outreach and extension mission. Together, we are building a future where technology and education converge to create limitless possibilities.

Located within the UIT Digital Experience team and reporting to the Assistant Director for Web Technologies, the Digital Accessibility & Risk Analyst serves as the administrative and process steward for vendor accessibility documentation, vendor-risk intake coordination, and institutional reporting that supports OSU's digital accessibility and vendor-risk infrastructure.

This organizational placement provides a neutral, enterprise-wide perspective, enabling the role to support and coordinate work across UIT Digital Experience, the Office of Information Security (OIS), Office of Procurement, Payment and Travel, and IT service management functions. The position operates alongside institutional IT Governance, Budget, and Portfolio Management functions, ensuring consistent processes, timely intake coordination, and transparent reporting across these domains.

The Analyst ensures that vendor accessibility documentation (VPATs/ACRs) is collected, maintained, and available to support procurement and governance decisions; that Higher Education Community Vendor Assessment Toolkit

(HECVAT) submissions are complete and properly coordinated with OIS; and that accessibility-related tickets and barrier reports are consistently tracked, routed, and responded to within expected service timelines.

This role contributes to institutional service management maturity by providing visibility into intake workflows and ticket responsiveness, helping ensure that accessibility and vendor-risk-related requests are handled in a timely, consistent, and accountable manner.

This position complements, and does not duplicate, the work of the Accessible Technology Specialist, who serves as one of OSU’s subject-matter experts and the UIT program leader for digital accessibility. The Analyst is not a technical, compliance, enforcement, or program ownership role. Instead, this position operates as a cross-functional coordinator and process steward, ensuring that accessibility documentation, vendor-risk intake, and service workflows are completed in a timely, consistent, and transparent manner across organizational boundaries.
